International Drill Teams Reunion

 

The WV International Drill Team had their annual dinner recently at the FOP  Restaurant in

Nutterfort,   WV.   The Drill team is a combination of the Harold L. Scott,  The Alberta Hutson, and the Carl C. Williams.   The Harold L. Scott Team,  the oldest group  is now 42 years old. today.   Each Officer had a marching Drill Team to help seat that officer.   Each officer had anywhere from 45+ persons to almost 100 in the Drill team.   The Drill team consisted of a Drill master and a pianist,  and  persons who did precision marching which may last as long as 45 minutes.

    These are in honor of the three West Virginians who held the highest honor in the Odd Fellow

relationships. They presided over the entire world in Odd Fellowship. Their tours of service ranged between  1960's  and the 1980's.   The presiding officer in the  Odd Fellows is known as the Sovereign Grandmaster,  and the presiding officer in the Rebekahs are  The International president of Rebekah Assembles.   Many jurisdictions have never had a presiding officer; but WV  has had six members that have Presided over International Units.  Harold Scott, Past Sovereign Grand Master, Carl Williams, Past Sovereign Grand Master, Alberta Hudkins, Past President International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.  M.D. Fansler, General Commanding, General Military Council, Patriarch Militant, Howard Propbts, General Commanding, General Military Council, Patriarch Militant, .  Cleone Fansler, President International Association Ladies Auxilary Patriarch Militant.

Scott,   Carol Scott,  Carl Williams,  one of the Sovereign Grand Master,  the only officer still living,   Aldene Davidson,  Pamela Davidson Marjorie Maxwell.   Missing from the picture was the Photographer,   Rev. Sherman G. Davidson.     Most of those in the photograph have been state officers in West Virginia, in various departments of the order.
