Photo top= This was the
group which attending the Roll Call Dinner and the
Official Visit of the Assembly President. This has been
a tradition now for many years, to read something and
this year to present something to the
kitchen Shower. Utensils and
dish clothes were given, along with other items.
This is also tradition for
most to pay their dues for the entire year so no dues
cards needs to be sent out and everyone generally with
the exception of a few pays their dues. Some won't pay
until the close of the year, which makes the secretary
report late or after the 1st of year.

and Aldene Davidson. Aldene is the Noble Grand
and Pam is the Warden. Together this mother/daughter
has been in the lodge
now for a total of 69 years. Pam has served the lodge
as the Left Support to
the Vice Grand, Color
Bearer, and now warden. Aldene has served in a host
of the offices of the Lodge and served on many different
degree teams, along with serving as the District Deputy
President of District 4 for a total of 6 years.

dinner and had their Roll Call. Members Answered the
call by providing some
kitchen item for the Kitchen Shower. The president made

Golden Glow
Prepares for Christmas. The first step to
prepare for Christmas is to decorate the Tree.
Members have donated the decorations and then
meet to decorate. We have a special Christmas
dinner and a program to celebrate. Instead of
exchanging gifts, we always give something to a
special project. This year the celebration will
be on December 5, beginning at 12:00 p.m. We
invite the DDP and other lodges of the
district. Many other officers over the state
will visit us also. This year, the District
Deputy will make her Official Visit.

Christmas Time at Wadestowns
by Sherman Davidson PCP
Golden Glow Rebekahs # 299 recently
celebrated the Christmas season beginning with a Christmas
meal, which was followed by their regular meeting. During the
meeting, The District Deputy President of District # 4 made her
official visit
to Golden Glow and presented the
International President's Program, and WV Assembly's Program,
Mary Elen Stillwagner.
Also, this photo shows some of
the wrapped gifts which will be presented to two members of the
same family, which is a brother and sister. The lodge
presented these gifts to the family so they can have a wonderful
Christmas. One of the members also presented $50.00 towards the
Presidents Project at the Odd Fellow Home in Elkins, to help
replace the Elevator at the home.
There were many members who
could not attend the celebration because of the snow fall in
individual areas. Absent from the Photo was Glendora
Headley, Past President of the Rebekah Assembly, Jeannette
Robey, Past District Deputy, and her daughter, Janet Sanders,
also a Past District Deputy President. Barbara Wagnor was also
absent due to some sickness.
